The NP2020 Blog is a place for emerging leaders and current nonprofit leaders to share their voice. The blog gives you the inside scoop on individuals currently working in the nonprofit sector and advice on how to advance your career in the sector. Comment on the blogs to keep the discussions going, ask questions of the writers & share your own stories.
Participate in the Bi-Weekly Forums
Every other week we will list a new forum on the NP2020 Forum Page. Visit the forum and discuss the topic with other website users. Each week the forum will have a different topic relating to emerging leadership in the nonprofit sector. Want to discuss a particular topic, submit a forum question to np2020@gvsu.edu or enter a comment with a new question as the subject.
Participate in the Next Generation Leadership Series
The Next Generation Leadership Series is a series of programs on solutions for the nonprofit sector’s leadership deficit. The program will feature monthly programs on topics directly related to the issues emerging leaders are having in the sector. Participating in the interactive Next Generation Leadership Series will give you insight on the work individuals in the sector are doing to improve the current leadership deficit in the sector, and receive information on how you can keep your career in the nonprofit sector.
Recommend topics
We have created the Next Generation Leadership Series to start conversations you want to discuss. For the first program, we wanted to get the conversation started with information on reports on the leadership deficit recently released. This program is meant as a starting point for the rest of the series. Do you have interesting topics in mind? Suggest them here, or email np2020@gvsu.edu.

Network with Emerging Nonprofit Leaders
Join our groups on Facebook and Linked In to network with emerging leaders from across the country. Use these groups to bounce questions off each other, and hold discussions on the issues most important to you.

Become an NP2020 Blogger
NP2020.org features bloggers from all over the nonprofit sector. Each blogger shares their story, giving hints on how to deal with generational dynamics in the sector, and how to develop a sustainable career in the nonprofit sector. Do you have a blog of your own where you share your own personal story of working in the nonprofit sector? If you do, send an email to np2020@gvsu.edu, with a link to your blog. We will assess bloggers on a per-blog basis and we will be adding new bloggers continuously.
