Topic #2 - What are the organizational structure needs of emerging leaders?
The NP2020 report notes that structural challenges create barriers to nonprofit careers in the nonprofit sector. More discussion is needed to define the organizational structure needs of emerging leaders. What does a more flexible organizational structure mean? What hiring recruitment practices best lend themselves to recruiting and retaining emerging leaders?

Topic #3 - What Are Emerging Leaders Doing to Drive Diversity Efforts in the Nonprofit Sector?
The NP2020 report notes that Generations X and Y believe the nonprofit sector needs more diversity. This series will discuss diversity in the nonprofit sector, but more specifically address what emerging leaders can do to help drive diversity efforts in the sector, starting within their organizations. Questions around “How do we create diverse organizations to attract emerging leaders?”, “How do we create a diverse candidate pool of emerging leaders for the sector?” “Is the lack of diversity in the sector driving emerging leaders away?” and “How can emerging leaders drive diversity efforts in their organizations?” will be discussed. Nonprofit sector experts will be in attendance to enrich the conversation.
NP2020 will hosted a free live online discussion on this topic on August 27, 2008 from 1:00-2:00 pm EST.
